United conquer the Romans after early scareDate: 25 February 2018 at 09:38 by keith Green
United started the game sluggishly and deservedly found themselves 2-0 down by the 20th minute. Soon after they started to get hold of the game and managed to pull themselves level on the stroke of half time.
The second half saw United take control and created plenty of good chances but they found the Romans keeper Charlie Wood in fine form pulling off a string of fantastic saves to keep the Romans in the hunt.
Things took a turn for the worse for United when defender Niall Rowe was shown a straight red card for what appeared to be an elbow and United were now down to 10 men.
United continued to press forward regardless and were eventually rewarded with the winner with a wonderful strike from Dominik Alleyne to claim a very welcome 3pts.
