Three Departures Confirmed

Date: 18 January 2018 at 10:48 by Liam Cook

Coventry United Football Club can confirm the departures of several first team players.

Goalkeeper Scott Dutton drops down to Midland Football League Division 1 strugglers Coventry Alvis. The ex Wolves and Crawley shotstopper made 4 appearances for the Red and Greens since his move from local rivals Coventry Sphinx in October of 2017. Dutton reunites with his dad, Stuart, the co-manager of Alvis, as he aims to guide the local side to safety.

Popular attacker Jack Jeys also heads for the exit. He joins fellow Midland Football League Premier Division outfit Sporting Khalsa after an impressive second spell with the Red and Greens. JJ scored some brilliant and crucial goals during his 3 months at the Butts Park Arena, including an equalising goal at Bromsgrove Sporting in the FA Vase, and quickly became a fans favourite.

Finally, Dan Brennan ends his short spell with the club. The centre-back joined United 3 weeks ago and made 3 appearances for the club. He returns to Leicestershire to join Quorn.

We’d like to thank Scott, Jack and Dan for their service and wish them the best for the future.
