Even the safest of hands need training.

We are pleased to welcome on board Ewan Aldridge as our new Men’s Goalkeeping Coach. Ewan will be a familiar face to many at Coventry United, having previously lent his expertise to the goalkeeping department several years ago. Known as Oggy to his friends and colleagues, Ewan is currently working towards his UEFA B Goalkeeper Coaching Badge, and has previous experience working with the Strachan Academy. He is a larger than life character who is sure to bring knowledge and comradery to our squad, specifically our shot-stoppers. Our new Keeper Coach is the second new addition to our Men’s coaching set up this summer, following the arrival of First Team Coach Tom Bates.

Coventry United Assistant Manager Luke Morton provides his thoughts on Ewan’s arrival – “Goalkeeper is a specialist position, so we felt it important to find a good quality goalkeeping coach, and Ewan fits the bill every inch. While he is still very young, he is extremely experienced in coaching for his age, and has an old head on young shoulders. He’s certainly a bit of a character, so he will add a lot to our changing room. We're extremely pleased to get Ewan on board as he is much saught after coach"

We’re delighted to welcome Ewan to Coventry United and wish him well during his stay with the club.
