Coventry United Football Club are sad to confirm the departure of Rich Morris.
The veteran goalkeeper has decided to end his distinguished career after several successful years between the sticks at United. Mozza made his final appearance for the Red and Greens in a 3-0 defeat at Worcester City on Saturday 17th February 2018
Morris joined Coventry United ahead of 2015/16 season. Since making his debut in a 2-0 win at Littleton, Rich kept 36 clean sheets in 101 starts in all competitions, captaining the side once.
The popular number 1 has this message for the everyone at Coventry United upon his retirement…
“I would just like to wish everyone at Coventry United the very best for the future, and a big thanks to everyone involved. I’ve had a great time at the club. Unfortunately this season has been a tough one, but some good memories were made over the last few seasons with promotions etc. I just feel it’s the right time to step away, so all the best and good luck. I hope the club climbs the leagues where they deserve to be”
Everyone at Coventry United would like to thank Rich for his 2 and a half years of service, and wish him the best for the future.
