Lewis Hudson Is BackDate: 02 June 2019 at 12:11 by Liam Cook
He’s back where he belongs.
Defender Lewis Hudson has signed a contract with Coventry United for the 2019/20 season. The fan favourite full back returns for a third spell with the Red and Greens after a stint with neighbours, Coventry Sphinx, last season.
A graduate of the Strachan Academy, Lewis originally joined United in 2016, and returned in the summer of 2017 after several months with Racing Club Warwick. Lewis has made 28 competitive appearances in the Red and Green of Coventry United, and donned the United shirt last week in the Jordan Shields Memorial Match, where he scored United’s third goal of the afternoon. A speedy, agile left-back capable of fulfilling many different roles across the pitch, he provides a potent attacking threat on the flank, and a roadblock to attackers.
Coventry United assistant manager Luke Morton had this to say on Lewis’ return - “Terry and myself are extremely happy to bring Lewis back to Coventry United. He is an exceptional young player and is going to add an awful of lot to our squad, as can play in a number of positions. For one so young he has an old head on him, and is a potential leader amongst our squad.”
We are delighted to welcome Lewis home and look forward to seeing him back in Red and Green in pre-season
