L'Boro Uni 1-1 UnitedDate: 19 January 2019 at 21:32 by Liam Cook
The Red and Greens were denied victory in the closing stages of a 1-1 draw with Loughborough University.
The Total Motion Midland Football League Premier Division fixture, rearranged following an abandonment of the previous meeting due to a freak rain storm, was a tale of two halves, with United taking charge of the opening 45 minutes, but failing to find a way past Scholars goalkeeper Conor O'Keefe. Coventry would take the lead early into the second period, with a penalty converted by Kyle Barnett following a handball in the box. United defended with heart and pride for over half an hour, but Loughborough captain Matty Crookes snatched a point shortly before the end of normal time, turning a Jordan Slack free kick home at the far post.
