Khalsa Seal A Double With 2-1 Victory

Date: 13 January 2018 at 22:49 by Liam Cook

Sporting Khalsa secure a double over Coventry United with a narrow 2-1 victory at the Butts Park Arena

The Red and Greens fell behind early on with a sloppy opener for Leon Miles. The defender was left unmarked at a corner and his toe poke somehow found it's way past keeper Rich Morris. Khalsa's lead would not last long. Less than 5 minutes later Arun Wint was floored by Alex Woodhouse in the box, the referee showed no hesitation in pointing to the penalty spot. Although Sam Arnold went the right way, he couldn't reach a ferocious strike from Wint. A second penalty would follow, but this time Arnold got both of his knees onto Wint's low drive, as the sides entered the break tied at 1-1.

Another early strike, this time a wonder strike from attacker Craig Bannister, sealed the 3 points for the visitors.
