Jay Bradford on New SeasonDate: 20 August 2017 at 11:21 by Jade Ogle
Football is back!!
I had a really good break, along with the other staff, we completely recharged and then began our plans for pre season.
I am really pleased with the girls application and commitment across pre season, which is always a bit mismatch with holidays etc.
I am not one for taking note of results across the pre season period as we prefer to use it as a platform for performance and minutes for the players.
Coming off the back of playing two WSL sides we are in a really good position to start the league V Swindon on Sunday. Our objective going into the game is very clear, we must start with 3 points, which is something we didn't manage last season on the opening day.
Our squad is competitive and extremely well balanced, naturally there is disappointment for some not the make the starting 11, but they all respect the importance of the team being the priority, I know everyone is buzzing to get the ball rolling.
Swindon have gone through a transition period and will no doubt want a positive start to the season, we have to be disciplined and remember key aspects that have been coached across pre season in preparation for the opening game.
