Community Work Update

Firstly thank you to everyone who worked hard to ensure that our recent Community Day, when we played Sporting Khalsa went so well. The feedback was really good.

Blue Coat School Coventry

This week, Terry, Nikki, Ollinton, Liam, Peter Reynolds and I took turns to present assemblies at Blue Coat School in Coventry, where we used the theme of Hopes and Dreams to share our club story with pupils from school years 7-10. Over the course of the week over 800 young people will have heard all about Coventry United!

Further to this, Terry is now doing some football coaching at the school. We've had some fantastic feedback from the school and have given out 100s of tickets and club handbooks; we were swamped with requests each day!

What the school said:

"Just wanted to say a massive thank you for the time and energy that you gave in delivering this week’s assemblies. It is great to have built up a partnership with Coventry United and invaluable to have external organisations reinforcing the Blue Coat values in a relevant way. Terry started his first coaching session on Monday and we had a good turn out and the session was really well received by our students. We look forward to working with you more in the future. Hopefully Coventry United will have a record attendance at their next game!

Mr I. Corden - Teacher of Physical Education

"I can echo that Greg - this week has been brilliant and SO well received! This is such a lovely example of how values, community, school and sport can come together in something completely brilliant. SO encouraging!

Lou Peet - Chaplain

"I’m going to add at this point that I was going to come to your assembly this morning and when I arrived today I found out that you weren’t in today for year 11! Gutted! I’m so sorry that I’ve not been around! Have heard loads of really good things though and the Year Heads at briefing this morning were really positive and all said how good it was – and how year 11 were missing out. I feel like I have also missed out!!!!
