Coventry United Ladies are through to the final of the Birmingham FA Womens' County Cup following an 8-0 victory over Stockingford AA Pavilion Ladies.

Manager Jay Bradford made several changes from Thursday's line up, with a youthful backline of Erin Riden, Emma Slater (making her first senior start), and the returning Alex Buck.

The Red and Green Girls nearly made the perfect start with a header from Shannon O'Brien, but the goal was disallowed. But the young winger wouldn't have to wait for long to find the opener, smashing home from close range. Helen Dermody made it 2-0 from the spot after Lois Jefferies was tripped in the penalty area, and Jefferies furthered United's lead with goals 3 and 4 before the break.

Amy Wathan got the goal scoring spree back on track after the break, turning home Amber Hughes' cross from close range, before Jefferies completed her hat-trick. Beth Merrick won a penalty late on, which she converted herself, and Amber Hughes ended the action with a sensational run and shot from the half way point.

The victory sets up another County Cup Final meeting with West Bromwich Albion Women, who beat Redditch 4-1 in the other semi. Date, time and venue to be confirmed
